Photographers' Formulary Chromium Intensifier for Black & White Film | Makes 2.75 Gallon

Overview

Photographers Formulary Chromium Intensifier helps to increase the density of black and white negatives.

Key Features
  • This is a proportional intensifier. The amount of intensification is somewhat proportional to the amount of silver originally present in the negative.
  • Negatives intensified with chromium are stable. The process is used in room light and must be redeveloped in a quick-acting print developer.
  • Chromium intensification is best used for increasing contrast since it has little effect on thin, shadow areas
  • Additional intensification may be obtained by repeating the process, however this also increases the risk of damage to the negative.
  • The two main ingredients in Chromium Intensifier, potassium dichromate and hydrochloric acid, are both toxic substances. Chemicals are used once and discarded.
  • Handle with protective gloves and respirator
