Arturia BeatStep Pro MIDI/Analog Controller and Sequencer

Develop and execute electronic music using the white Arturia BeatStep Pro, a versatile analog and MIDI controller/sequencer designed for software instruments, as well as both analog and digital hardware synthesizers, drum machines, drum kits, and iPad applications. This device includes 16 projects, each equipped with two melodic sequencers that can accommodate up to 64 steps per sequence and 16 sequences per project. Furthermore, the drum sequencer provides 16 distinct tracks for sequencing and supports real-time recording through pads or step buttons, facilitating a traditional drum machine experience.

Utilize controller mode to manage drum software on an iPad (with a camera connector kit) or a computer, including applications such as BFD, Kontakt, Ableton Live's Drum Rack, EZ Drummer, Addictive Drums, Reason Kong, or Geist. This controller can also activate clips or tracks within production and DJ software like Ableton Live, Traktor, and Serato. The rotary encoders are capable of being MIDI mapped to manipulate filters, EQs, delays, and various other effects.

When switched to sequencer mode, each melodic sequence provides settings for note, velocity, and gate time, along with the capability to tie notes. You can record note pitch, duration, and velocity in real-time using the pads or an external keyboard, with the sequence playing back quantized at the specified step resolution. The device features scale modes that quantize the pitch of the encoders to designated pitches within a specific scale. In addition to recording 16 MIDI tracks, the drum sequencer also sends 8 gate outputs for triggering drum modules in the analog realm.

The BeatStep Pro supports various synchronization sources, including internal clock, USB, external MIDI clock, or analog/DIN sync. The USB port facilitates standard class-compliant bus-powered operation. To operate the BeatStep Pro in standalone mode, a USB power adapter is required. The device comes with a micro-USB cable and three 3.5mm to 5-pin DIN adapters.
