Atomos Shinobi 7" 4K HDMI/SDI Monitor

This 7" on-camera display boasts a 1920 x 1200 10-bit FRC IPS panel with an impressive brightness of 2200 cd/m², making it ideal for both outdoor and indoor environments. This upgraded model surpasses the original Shinobi by offering 3G-SDI input and loop output capabilities up to 2K60, HDMI 2.0 input and loop output up to 4K60, signal cross conversion, a camera control port, dual L-series battery slots, and potential for future enhancements through its integrated USB and RJ45 ports.

The Shinobi 7, equipped with a touchscreen interface, operates on the latest AtomOS firmware, which includes a comprehensive suite of onscreen analysis tools. These tools encompass multi-scope views, exposure settings, framing assistance, focus aids, waveform displays, RGB parade, and histogram functionalities. Additionally, it is designed with an SDI card input for the integration of custom 3D LUTs and offers support for both SDR and HDR viewing. The AtomHDR display technology enables precise monitoring of log gamma footage, eliminating the need to view flat, desaturated images or apply a LUT to manage dynamic range and color space. This monitor is compatible with widely used log formats from manufacturers such as Sony, Canon, Panasonic, ARRI, RED, and JVC.

Furthermore, the device allows for camera control through its 2.5mm control port and optional cables, currently supporting the Z CAM E2 series of cinema cameras. Constructed to endure the demands of production environments, the Shinobi 7 features a lightweight design and can be powered by a dual L-series battery plate or the included power adapter.

AtomHDR

AtomHDR allows for the monitoring of up to ten stops of dynamic range from your camera's LOG image. In contrast, most traditional monitors are limited to displaying only six or seven stops, which suffices for standard footage but results in a LOG image appearing excessively flat. Additionally, it offers advantages over monitoring with a loaded LUT, as the latter can lead to highlight clipping and shadow masking.

7" Daylight Viewable Screen

The Shinobi 7 features a 7" IPS LCD 1920 x 1200 screen that is illuminated by a bright 2200 cd/m² LED backlight, making it possible to view in daylight without requiring a hood. Plus, the screen is also color calibrated from the factory to ensure accurate image representation.

HDR Signal Management

Log and HDR signals can be difficult to monitor with conventional equipment. With the Shinobi's built-in HDR signal management functions, the log signal can be converted to the PQ standard for compatibility with existing consumer and professional HDR equipment.

Power Options

The back of the monitor features dual L-series battery slots for longer shoot durations, and a universal power adapter is also included.

Camera Control

The monitor features a 2.5mm control port that currently supports control of Z CAM E2 series cinema cameras, while future camera control support is pending.

Anamorphic De-Squeeze

The Shinobi 7 supports anamorphic de-squeeze, allowing you to comfortably view anamorphic footage with a squeeze of 2x, 1.5x, 1.33, and Panasonic's 8:3.

3D LUT Management

An SD card slot allows you to load custom 3D LUTs and apply them to both input and output signals.
