The Audio-Technica ATW-1102 System 10 is a digital wireless handheld microphone system that includes the ATW-R1100 tabletop receiver. This portable system is ideal for rapid deployment in educational institutions, conference rooms, small venues, places of worship, and web broadcasting studios.
The user-friendly system is factory preconfigured, allowing for immediate operation without any setup necessary. It features three levels of diversity reception and automatic frequency selection, ensuring consistent and dependable performance with high-quality digital audio for speakers, educators, religious leaders, and artists.
The ATW-1102 is equipped with a handheld transmitter that incorporates a hypercardioid dynamic microphone capsule. This transmitter can function continuously for up to 7 hours using two AA batteries and has a maximum operational range of 100 feet. In environments with several presenters, it can support the simultaneous use of up to 8 microphone channels within the same area.
Clear Speech with Digital Audio and Handheld Hypercardioid Mic
The System 10 provides comprehensive bandwidth with 24-bit/48 kHz digital audio, eliminating the audio artifacts typically linked to analog companding. The durable handheld transmitter is equipped with a built-in dynamic microphone capsule that produces a natural sound, specifically tailored for clear speech intelligibility. The microphone's hypercardioid polar pattern ensures precise audio capture from the subject directly in front, effectively reducing background noise and feedback.
Easy to Set Up, Easy to Operate
Automatic Frequency Selection
To initiate the system, simply activate the components, and the receiver will autonomously search for an available frequency, establishing a connection with the transmitter without the need for manual scanning or synchronization. During operation, the system consistently observes the activity within the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi spectrum and will automatically transition to a clear frequency to mitigate any potential interference when required.
Portable Receiver Chassis
The tabletop receiver chassis is constructed with a lightweight plastic housing, allowing for the convenient stacking of multiple receivers. The front-panel LEDs provide information on pairing statuses and alert users if the transmitter's input level is excessively high, leading to distortion. Additionally, a display for the System ID number identifies the transmitter linked to each specific receiver. The rear panel is equipped with balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" output connections, along with a control for adjusting the output level.
Lightweight Handheld Transmitter
The transmitter is encased in a lightweight plastic enclosure. An internal input trim control can be adjusted with the provided screwdriver to align the volume of your speaker or vocalist, ensuring a distortion-free input. A simple press of the power switch on the transmitter also serves as a mute function, which can be disabled to avoid accidental activation.
Pairing Multiple Transmitters
In this peer-to-peer system, the transmitter is limited to transmitting to a single receiver at any given moment. Nevertheless, it is possible to pair up to eight transmitters with a receiver in advance. This feature proves advantageous in scenarios where multiple speakers are scheduled to present consecutively, as it allows for their microphones to be prepared and ready for use. To switch between speakers, one simply needs to turn off the current transmitter and activate the next one.
Three Levels of Diversity Assurance to Avoid Dropouts
Triple Diversity Reception Maximizes Wireless Signal Integrity
- Space Diversity: The receiver compares the signal showing up at its two antennas and chooses the strongest one.
- Time Diversity: The transmitter sends the digital signal in two imperceptibly different time slots and compares the two.
- Frequency Diversity: The digital audio is sent over two different frequencies at the same time and the system chooses the cleaner one.
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi Band
Unlike traditional analog wireless systems, the System 10 operates in the 2.4 GHz ISM band, away from interruptions and dropouts caused by TV and radio channel interference.
Add Functionality to Your System
Presenters
Audio-Technica provides the ATW-T1001 bodypack transmitter, which is compatible with a range of lavalier and headset microphones, allowing for customization of your System 10 PRO as your requirements change. The MT830cW lavalier microphone facilitates hands-free presentations and is designed with an omnidirectional polar pattern, ensuring reliable audio capture even when the speaker turns away from the microphone. For louder events, the AT831cW mini cardioid lavalier microphone features a narrower, feedback-resistant pickup pattern. Additionally, the discreet PRO-92cW earset microphone enhances clarity in spoken word scenarios.
Guitarists
The AT-GcW guitar cable lets you connect the bodypack transmitter to a guitar or bass.
Video Conferencing
The ATW-T1006 boundary transmitter/mic is designed for tabletop use, ideal for applications such as video-conferencing where minimum visibility is required.
Conferences/Boardrooms
The ATW-T1007 base transmitter can be used with a gooseneck mic on a table for situations where wired mics are impractical.
