The beyerdynamic MM 1 has been designed for the calibration of studio environments, public address (PA) systems, and emergency loudspeaker announcement (ELA) systems. When used alongside a spectrum analyzer, it allows for the assessment of sound pressure levels from loudspeakers, in addition to measuring frequency response. The device features a slim profile with a protruding microphone capsule, which minimizes its impact on the sound field, thereby largely preventing pressure build-up at higher frequencies.
Strictly Accurate
The MM 1 is distinguished by its exceptional measurement accuracy, applicable in both live settings and studio environments. beyerdynamic produces these microphones with a remarkably tight tolerance, allowing for a deviation of only +/- 1.5 dB across the frequency range of 50 Hz to 16 kHz. This high level of precision is achieved through meticulous manual inspection of the frequency response for each microphone by our skilled technicians.
The MM 1 is far from being a one-dimensional tool. It provides impressive outcomes as an innovative option for instrument recordings, making it ideal for capturing song ideas on the fly.
Design and Function
The design of the MM 1 is specifically tailored to provide precise measurement outcomes. Its slim, robust metal casing, which features a recessed microphone capsule, minimizes interference with the sound field. Consequently, it significantly reduces the likelihood of sound pressure increases at higher frequencies. Additionally, the microphone's lightweight and compact nature facilitates effortless positioning. This traditional microphone is now securely housed in a durable hard case. Consistent with all microphones in the M series, the MM 1 undergoes measurement at the conclusion of the production process.
Beyerdynamic microphones are engineered for regular use in professional environments, which is why they are constructed using only high-quality, durable materials. In the event that a microphone sustains damage, our service policy allows for the replacement of nearly every component.
