Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2

The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 represents the newest addition to the Blackmagic Design series of compact Super35 cameras. This cine-style camera incorporates the same 6K S35 sensor, recording capabilities, dynamic range, interface ports, and controls as its predecessor, the 6K Pro, but simplifies certain features to offer a more budget-friendly option. Among the features carried over from the 6K Pro are a 5" tilting touchscreen LCD, Pro EVF, battery grip options, dual mini-XLR audio inputs, an NP-F570 L-series battery slot, and the enhanced Gen 5 color science. By omitting the internal ND filters and lowering the LCD brightness in comparison to the 6K Pro, Blackmagic provides users with the opportunity to select between two nearly identical 6K models that align with their specific needs.

Super35 Image Sensor/Dual Native ISO

The Pocket Cinema Camera 6K G2 is equipped with a Super35-sized sensor, offering 13 stops of dynamic range and a dual native ISO of 400/3200, which can be extended to 25,600. This enables the camera to produce vibrant images at resolutions reaching 6144 x 3456 and frame rates of up to 60 fps.

Gen 5 Color

The 6K G2 incorporates the same sophisticated Gen 5 color science found in the 6K Pro and URSA Mini Pro 12K cameras, facilitating seamless integration of footage from the 6K Pro, 6K, and BMPCC 4K.

Blackmagic Raw and ProRes Recording

Utilize either Blackmagic Raw or ProRes 422 formats for recording, based on the specific requirements of your project, and make use of the internal CFast 2.0 and SD/UHS-II card slots for storage. Additionally, connect to an optional ATEM Mini switcher through the full-size HDMI port for live streaming capabilities. For extended recording sessions, output via the USB Type-C port to save longer clips onto an external SSD.
