Canon Extender EF 1.4x III

The Canon Extender EF 1.4X III is specifically engineered for select Canon EF mount L-series telephoto lenses. The Extender EF 1.4X III comprises seven optical elements arranged in three groups, with all optical components featuring Canon's Super Spectra coating to mitigate ghosting and flare. Additionally, a new Fluorine Coating on both the front and rear elements significantly simplifies the cleaning of marks, such as those left by water or fingerprints, compared to standard coatings. To ensure precise imaging data transfer between the lens and camera body, the extender is equipped with an integrated processor that guarantees all focusing, metering, and ID information is accessible, enabling the photographer to achieve balanced and well-exposed images. When paired with the latest premium Canon L-series lenses, these extenders facilitate autofocus accuracy, even when photographing moving subjects. It is important to note that when the 1.4x extender is attached, the effective maximum aperture is reduced by one stop.
