The Canon CN-E 24mm T1.5 L F Cinema Prime Lens is a manual focus wide-angle prime lens compatible with both Full Frame and Super 35 sensor formats. This lens features a maximum aperture of T1.5, making it particularly advantageous for low-light shooting and for achieving a pronounced shallow depth of field. It is equipped with an 11-blade iris that produces rounded out-of-focus highlights, resulting in a pleasing bokeh effect. The lens barrel allows for 300° of smooth, stepless rotation from close focus to infinity, ensuring a high level of precision and consistent focus.
Designed to reduce focus breathing, the lens incorporates advanced glass construction that mitigates barrel expansion and contraction, thus preventing discrepancies caused by temperature changes. It features dual focus markings on both sides of the barrel, with the rear markings positioned on an angled surface for easy readability from either side of the camera. Additionally, the lens is housed in a dust and water-resistant casing, which helps to reduce maintenance during regular use.
The CN-E 14mm and the other five CN-E lenses maintain a uniform 114mm front barrel diameter, focus rotation, 36° iris rotation, and consistent gear positions for focus and iris, facilitating seamless lens swaps.
Easy to Use
Designed for the working professional, the EF Cinema Prime CN-E24mm T1.5 L F lens features markings on the angled surfaces on both sides of its precisely engineered 300° rotatable barrel, facilitating easy reading of focus and aperture settings from behind or either side of the camera. Users can switch focus markings from standard labeling to metric. The control rings are meticulously crafted to ensure the appropriate level of resistance, providing consistent operating torque.
Designed For 4K Resolution
This lens is engineered to meet modern 4K production standards, boasting sharp optics and a full-frame imaging circle within a lightweight and compact framework. It incorporates an 11-blade aperture diaphragm that is highly rounded, resulting in aesthetically pleasing background blur. Additionally, its innovative glass construction mitigates barrel expansion and contraction, effectively preventing discrepancies caused by temperature variations.
