Canon CN-E 50mm T1.3 L F Cine Lens

The Canon CN-E 50mm T1.3 L F Cine Lens is designed for EF-mount compatibility, making it suitable for Canon's C-series cinema cameras, full-frame EOS DSLRs, and any video-capable camera that accommodates EF-mount lenses. With a rapid T1.3 aperture, this lens excels in low-light conditions, enabling the capture of high-quality images. Its diaphragm features 11 blades, crafted to be as circular as possible, which, combined with the fast aperture, results in stunning bokeh and aesthetically pleasing circular highlights. The diaphragm ring operates in a stepless manner, providing a smooth and fully manual experience, even when utilized with a DSLR, ensuring precise control.

The CN-E 50 was launched alongside two complementary models, the CN-E 24mm and CN-E 85mm. These three lenses share identical front diameters, form factors, optical designs, gear ring placements, and mechanical constructions. Due to these uniform characteristics, it is easy to interchange one lens for another, even when using geared accessories.

Designed for the working professional, the EF Cinema Prime CN-E50mm T1.3 L F lens features markings on the angled surfaces on both sides of its precisely engineered 300° rotatable barrel, facilitating easy reading of focus and aperture settings from the rear or either side of the camera. The focus markings can be adjusted from standard labeling to metric. The control rings are meticulously crafted to ensure the appropriate level of resistance, providing consistent operating torque.

This lens is engineered to meet modern 4K production standards, boasting sharp optics and a full-frame imaging circle within a lightweight and compact design. It is equipped with a fast aperture, making it particularly suitable for low-light environments. Additionally, the lens incorporates an 11-blade aperture diaphragm that creates aesthetically pleasing background blur, along with advanced glass construction that mitigates barrel expansion and contraction, thereby preventing temperature-related marking inconsistencies.
