Canon's third generation 12x36 IS III Image Stabilized Binoculars are designed with a sophisticated IS system that minimizes hand-shake, making them perfect for extended birdwatching, nature observation, and sports events. By using Vari-Angle prisms and internal gyro sensors, these binoculars effectively compensate for movement, resulting in smoother views and panning. Furthermore, a microcomputer with advanced algorithms enhances the IS operation, reduces startup times, and improves energy efficiency.
The image stabilization performance is just the beginning when it comes to enhancing image quality. Canon has incorporated anti-reflection Super Spectra multicoatings to minimize light loss and enhance image contrast. In addition, a Porro prism optical path is utilized to provide a rich depth of field, allowing users to better assess the distance between objects, along with a comfortable 14.5mm eye relief. Moreover, a doublet field-flattener corrects spherical aberration, ensuring distortion-free views, especially at the edges. With a wide angle 60° apparent angle of view, the binoculars offer an immersive observational experience. The binoculars are powered by two readily available AA batteries, providing up to nine hours of usage at 77°F. Designed for portability and ease of use, they measure just 6.9" in length and weigh a little over 23 oz.
