The RS 5 gimbal offers complete charging in merely one hour, a 15% enhancement in operational time, Teflon-enhanced balancing features, and precision tuning knobs.

Enhanced Battery and Fast Charging

When paired with the BG33 battery grip, the RS 5 gimbal can achieve a full charge in just one hour when utilizing a 65W PD power charger. It provides 14 hours of operational time, which is 15% greater than the RS 4, or can extend up to 30 hours when combined with a BG70 battery grip.

Z-Axis Indicator

The Z-axis indicator displays your vertical movements so that you can adjust your motion, but it does not provide Z-axis stabilization.

Intelligent Tracking Module

Easily affixed using a magnetic mount, the provided module offers smart framing and tracking with just a single tap. The tracking capabilities encompass a range of up to 32.8 feet, along with both gimbal and hand gesture controls, as well as orbit, POV/selfie, and reverse tracking modes.

Auto-Locking OLED Screen

The RS 5 is equipped with a fixed OLED touchscreen with a new auto-lock feature. Once locked, the screen will display the current gimbal and joystick moves at a low brightness to prevent accidental switching and conserve battery.

Native Vertical Capture

Quickly switch to vertical/portrait mode in mere seconds using the RS 5 gimbal's third-gen vertical shooting design. Simply loosen and press the single-side knob, rotate the horizontal plate, tighten the plate, and you're good to go.

Second-Generation Quick Release Plate Design

The RS 5, featuring the well-known dual-layered quick release plates from its predecessor, simplifies the process of mounting and balancing your camera. The horizontal plate has been redesigned to facilitate quicker transitions to native vertical shooting. A fine-tuning knob allows for adjustments to the tilt axis, enabling you to move your camera either forward or backward. Additionally, the upper plate includes enhanced placement guides to ensure secure camera mounting.

Monitoring and Control

Adjust the camera exposure remotely through the Ronin app, or utilize the virtual joystick to manage the gimbal, ensuring a seamless monitoring and control experience. The Ronin Image Transmitter allows a smartphone to function as a motion controller, enabling remote operation of the RS 5 gimbal for enhanced flexibility and dynamic camera movements.

Second-Generation Automated Axis Locks

When the gimbal is turned off, you can press and hold the power button, which will unlock the three axes while the gimbal automatically expands, enabling you to begin working in merely two seconds. Pressing the power button once will cause the axes to lock automatically and enter sleep mode, thereby enhancing the efficiency of movement or storage considerably. The second version of this design has resulted in smaller gaps when locked, further minimizing gimbal shake.

RSA Communication Port

The RSA communication port enables the integration of Ronin series accessories into your gimbal setup. You can incorporate Ronin-specific or third-party accessories that have control functionalities to alternate between various shooting configurations. The DJI RS SDK protocol will facilitate third-party manufacturers and other developers in creating tailored functions for the RS 5.

Wireless Shutter Control

By utilizing Dual-Mode Bluetooth technology, the RS 5 enables wireless shutter control, thereby conserving both time and effort with each application. Following the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can manage video and photo capture by merely pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Cameras that have been paired previously can automatically reconnect after the first usage, removing the necessity for a camera control cable.

Focus Pro and DJI SDR Transmission Support

Pro shooters can pair the RS 5 gimbal with two Focus Pro motors to easily adjust their focus and zoom using the gimbal's dial and joystick controls. Add the DJI SDR Transmission component to get live video feed and remote gimbal/camera control.
