This Cyanotype Processing Kit from Flic Film enables the creation of distinctive images on various mediums. The cyanotype technique was developed by Sir John Herschel in 1842, and its fundamental formula has remained largely unchanged to this day. This method is non-toxic and straightforward, involving the placement of a negative over specially treated paper, followed by exposure to sunlight. Additionally, it can be utilized for photograms, which are images produced without a camera by directly placing objects on light-sensitive material and exposing it to light. Both watercolor paper and cotton fabric serve as excellent substrates for cyanotype printing. After bleaching, cyanotypes can be toned in a variety of colors using toners such as tea, coffee, wine, or any other liquid rich in tannic acid.
