Focusrite ISA 828 MkII 8-Channel Preamp for Mic, Line-Level, and Hi-Z Instruments

The Focusrite Pro ISA 828 MkII is an eight-channel microphone preamp renowned for its signature high-end sound and capability to output digital signals via contemporary networking platforms. This updated MkII model features an enhanced power supply that ensures more efficient power consumption while operating at lower temperatures. Additionally, it is compatible with Dante networks when equipped with the optional ISA ADN8 card.

Utilizing a Lundahl LL1538 input transformer, the preamp captures the essence of the classic Focusrite sound. Engaging the ISA 110 switch allows users to access that vintage tonal quality. The microphone input stage is designed with a variable impedance circuit, and the gain range extends to an impressive 80 dB, making it ideal for low-output dynamic and ribbon microphones.

Channels one through four are equipped with DI inputs that offer both high- and low-impedance options, providing a versatile and user-friendly DI solution for electric guitars and basses. When paired with the optional ISA ADN8, this device serves as an exceptional front end, suitable for both studio environments and complex live sound applications.
