It operates on bus power through USB-C connectivity, allowing it to function in various environments, including remote locations, with your preferred digital audio workstation (DAW) on either Mac or Windows computers, as well as on an iPad Pro that has a USB-C port.
- The 4th Generation Scarlett 2i2 can also operate in Standalone mode, enabling audio to flow from the inputs to the outputs without requiring a computer. To power the device, simply connect an external USB power supply or a USB power bank to the USB-C 5V input located on the rear panel.
