Kodak VISION3 500T is a high-speed, tungsten-balanced motion picture film known for its fine grain structure, extensive dynamic range, and flexible nominal sensitivity rated at 500 speed index. It offers a broad exposure latitude with outstanding highlight control, making it suitable for various lighting conditions, from high-contrast outdoor environments to mixed interior lighting scenarios. The film employs Advanced Dye Layering Technology (DLT) to minimize grain visibility in shadow areas, resulting in enhanced detail and clarity. As a member of the VISION3 series, this film stock boasts high archival stability and is particularly compatible with digital post-production workflows.
The removal of the Remjet layer, along with the addition of a process-surviving antistatic and scratch-resistant backing layer, means that VISION3 500T does not attract unwanted debris, thus providing a cleaner image for scanning and printing purposes. To maintain sensitometric consistency and ensure interchangeability with earlier film stocks during shooting, processing, and splicing, VISION3 incorporates an anti-halation protective undercoat layer (AHU) on its emulsion side, while its film support is made from an acetate base.
This product consists of one 100-foot roll of 16mm color negative motion picture film designed for processing in ECN-2 chemistry. It is perforated on one edge (Winding B) and is wound on an R-90 spool, making it suitable for in-camera use, optical printing, or bidirectional printing.
