Kodak VISION3 50D is a low-speed, daylight-balanced color negative motion picture film known for its capacity to capture a broad dynamic range with enhanced highlight sensitivity. It possesses an exposure index of 50 when utilized in daylight settings, and its fine grain structure significantly contributes to exceptional image sharpness. As a member of the VISION3 series of motion picture films, this stock offers high archival stability and is particularly compatible with digital post-production workflows.
The elimination of the Remjet layer, along with the addition of a process-surviving antistatic and scratch-resistant backing layer, means that VISION3 50D no longer attracts undesirable sediment, resulting in a cleaner image for both scanning and printing. To maintain sensitometric consistency and ensure interchangeability with earlier stocks during shooting, processing, and splicing, VISION3 incorporates an anti-halation protective undercoat layer (AHU) on its emulsion side, while its film support continues to utilize an acetate base.
This product consists of one 50' cartridge of single perf. Super 8 color negative film designed for processing in ECN-2 chemistry.
