The LaCie Rugged is compatible with Windows 7 and later, as well as macOS 10.12 and later, provided there is an available USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.2 Gen 1 (USB 3.0), or USB 2.0 port. It features a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, also referred to as USB 3.1 Gen 2 or USB 3.1, and includes a USB Type-C to Type-C cable.
