The Lowepro Adventura SH 140 III Shoulder Bag is an essential companion for all your photographic excursions. It boasts a lightweight yet durable construction, equipped with several practical features such as multiple accessory pockets, an adjustable and detachable shoulder strap, and PVC-free molded bumpers to safeguard against scratches. The exterior fabric is treated with PU lamination, ensuring waterproofing and protection from various environmental conditions. This bag can accommodate a crop-sensor mirrorless camera with a lens, including models like the FUJIFILM XT200, Canon M50 MII, EOS R10, or Nikon Z50, along with four additional lenses. It is perfectly suited for both amateur and professional photographers.
The bag aligns with Lowepro's commitment to environmental sustainability, incorporating up to 88% Green Line fabrics. This achievement is made possible through the use of recycled and solution-dyed materials, which contribute to water conservation and a decrease in greenhouse gas emissions. The measurement adheres to the GRI 301-2 standard, which assesses the proportion of recycled fiber utilized in relation to the total fiber weight.
Green Line Materials
Lowepro's popular Adventura collection is produced using the Green Line process, which means it's made from recycled and solution-dyed fabric. The Green Line is represented by a loading bar, indicating the percentage of recycled and solution-dyed fabrics used when manufacturing bags.
Solution-Dyed Fabrics
Lowepro's new bags are made from dope-dyed black fabrics and recycled linings/webbings, to reduce water use and CO2 emissions.
Dope-dyeing, also known as solution or spun dyeing, is a method employed to color synthetic fibers such as acrylic, nylon, and polyester. This technique involves the incorporation of pigments into the liquid polymer solution prior to the extrusion of synthetic fibers. Unlike conventional wet yarn dyeing, where the yarn is first knitted or woven into a fabric and subsequently dyed as a complete unit, dope-dyed yarn represents a contrasting approach. Traditional wet dyeing has posed significant challenges for both environmental sustainability and human health. The wet processing method consumes substantial quantities of chemicals and dyes, leading to water wastage and the release of hazardous substances into the environment. In contrast, the use of dope-dyed fabrics contributes to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions, water consumption, and chemical usage
