Matthews Open-End Scrim with White Artificial Silk | 24 x 36"

The 24 x 36" Open-End Scrim with White Artificial Silk by Matthews is constructed from spring steel and features a 3/8" pin and support, allowing for convenient hanging from the C-stand handle when not in operation. The frame's two vertical arms are designed with slots at both open ends to secure the piano wire that is woven through the fabric, thereby forming the fourth side of the frame while minimizing shadow interference.

Open ends are used to control or manipulate light falling on certain areas of the set or subject. They can be used to soften or reduce light without a noticeable edge. A color-coded binding is used around the frame to identify the fabric. Open-end frames are black powder-coated to minimize unwanted reflections.
