The NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S is a highly adaptable zoom lens that covers a broad spectrum of focal lengths, ranging from wide-angle to portrait perspectives. Its constant maximum aperture of f/4 ensures uniform exposure across the entire zoom range, providing a more compact and lightweight option compared to an f/2.8 zoom lens. In terms of optical construction, the lens incorporates a distinctive aspherical extra-low dispersion element along with three aspherical elements, which work together to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortions throughout the zoom range, thereby enhancing image sharpness and clarity. Furthermore, both Nano Crystal and Super Integrated Coatings have been utilized to mitigate flare and ghosting, resulting in improved contrast and color accuracy, particularly in bright and backlit scenarios.
