NiSi 52mm Black Mist Filter 1/4

The NiSi Black Mist Filter 1/4 is a traditional diffusion filter designed for lenses with a 52mm filter thread. Drawing inspiration from the acclaimed cinema series 'Allure Mist Black,' it has been developed as a circular filter. This filter is suitable for both photography and videography, as it reduces contrast by softening and diffusing highlights while enhancing shadows, thereby improving the tonal balance of the image. It imparts a cinematic quality and is frequently employed to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and blemishes, resulting in a more flattering portrayal of the subject. The effect is particularly pronounced when capturing softly diffused light from a backlight source, producing a transparent illumination reminiscent of images taken with a high-quality vintage lens.

This filter is made from optical glass and comes in diffusion grades of 1/8, 1/4, and 1/2; the diffusion effect approximately doubles with each increase in grade number. Each surface of the optical glass is treated with NiSi's Nano coating, which enhances the beading effect when exposed to water, oil, or grease, thereby improving cleaning efficiency. It is built with a premium brass frame to ensure greater durability and prevent jamming.
