The Nord Electro 6D 73-Note Semi-Weighted Waterfall Keyboard presents an extensive array of traditional electro-mechanical and acoustic keyboard sounds, complemented by performance-oriented features. It boasts three distinct sound sections, an intuitive user interface, and the capability for seamless transitions, making the Nord Electro 6D 73-Note Semi-Weighted Waterfall Keyboard a versatile and robust instrument suitable for live performances, studio recordings, and rehearsal settings.

The Electro 6D-73 integrates the Nord C2D B3 engine, delivering authentic organ sounds that include models from Farfisa and Vox, as well as a B3 bass, a B3 tonewheel, and two principal pipe organs. The enhanced Pipe 1 organ produces a pure organ tone with minimal harmonics. Furthermore, the instrument is equipped with nine physical drawbars and emulations of the renowned 122 vintage rotary speaker cabinet. It also features a mount for an optional half-moon switch, allowing for hands-on control of the rotary speaker. In addition to the preloaded sounds, the complete library is provided on the included DVD, enabling users to load additional preferred sounds.

The Sample Synth section has been upgraded with expanded memory (512 MB) for the Nord sample library, increased voice polyphony, and a dedicated area featuring attack, decay/release, and dynamic controls. It is designed with four levels of dynamic velocity control, a velocity-sensitive low-pass filter, and over 30 voice polyphony for sample library sounds. Moreover, the Effects Section encompasses all stereo effects. Effect 1 includes Pan, Tremolo, Wah, and Ring Modulator, each with three selectable depths for Pan and Tremolo. The Tremolo, Pan, Ring Mod, and Wah effects can be manipulated using a control pedal. Effects 2 comprises Phaser 1, Phaser 2, Flanger, Chorus 1, Chorus 2, and Vibe, with two selectable depths for each effect.

The Electro 6D-73 is equipped with a USB port for sound transfer and USB-MIDI functionality. Nord's design philosophy emphasizes a straightforward and intuitive user interface for the Electro 6D-73, featuring dedicated knobs and buttons that manage most functions. To enhance usability during live performances, functions accessible only through the menu are clearly printed on the front panel for quick reference.

Lastly, the Nord Electro 6D-73 is fitted with 73 semi-weighted organ-style keys featuring a rounded "waterfall" tip, ideal for rapid organ playing and synthesizer riffs, while also accommodating piano sounds effectively. The key range extends from E to E on the Electro 6D-73.
