Promaster Audio Cable 2.5mm male to 3.5mm female | Straight

The ProMaster 2558 is a straight audio adapter cable designed to facilitate the connection of a microphone or wireless receiver to a camera, camcorder, or similar device equipped with a 2.5mm TRS jack. While it is accurate that the majority of cameras and camcorders utilize a 3.5mm TRS audio jack, certain models, including some Fuji mirrorless cameras and various point-and-shoot cameras, are equipped with the smaller 2.5mm version. This discrepancy can pose challenges when attempting to use standard microphones with these devices. The ProMaster 2558 effectively addresses this issue by allowing any microphone with a standard 3.5mm TRS connection to be adapted for use with cameras featuring the smaller 2.5mm connection.

One end of the cable is fitted with a right-angle connector, while the opposite end features a straight 3.5mm female connector for attaching the microphone's cord. Additionally, small labels are affixed near each end of the cable to indicate their primary functions, with one end marked "Microphone" and the other "Camera/Camcorder." The tips of the connectors are gold-plated to enhance resistance to corrosion. This cable measures 8 inches in length and is designed to be straight, rather than coiled.
