The Ricoh WG-6, recognized as an all-weather extreme compact camera, is notable for its exceptionally robust design, a variety of practical shooting modes, and adaptable imaging features. Its sturdy construction ensures it is waterproof up to 65.6 feet, shockproof from falls of 6.6 feet, and resistant to freezing, crushing, dust, and chemical disinfection. In terms of imaging, the WG-6 is equipped with a 20MP BSI CMOS sensor, allowing for high-resolution still photography, a sensitivity range of ISO 125-6400, and the capability to record UHD 4K30 video. It also includes Movie SR+ and Movie SR stabilization modes to enhance video stability. The camera's versatility is further enhanced by a 5x optical zoom lens, which spans a focal length equivalent of 28-140mm, from wide-angle to telephoto. Additionally, the WG-6 features a bright 3.0" 1.04m-dot AR-coated LCD monitor, an LED ring light for close-up photography, and a precise GPS module for embedding location data in image files.

20MP CMOS Sensor
The WG-6 is equipped with a 20MP BSI CMOS sensor, enabling it to capture high-resolution images and UHD 4K30 video. The back-illuminated architecture of the sensor enhances clarity, minimizes noise, and provides a sensitivity range of ISO 125-6400, making it suitable for low-light environments.
Ricoh 5x Zoom Lens and LED Ring Light
The 5x optical zoom lens offers a versatile focal length range from wide-angle to telephoto, equivalent to 28-140mm, making it suitable for capturing a diverse range of subjects. An LED ring light encircles the lens, featuring six individual LEDs that provide bright and uniform illumination for close-up photography. Users can select from ten different brightness levels to customize the light output, adjust the lighting pattern, and utilize an advanced Digital Microscope mode that allows for close focusing down to 0.4 inches.
UHD 4K Video and Movie SR+
The device supports UHD 4K30 video recording, enabling high-resolution playback. It features a Movie SR+ (Shake Reduction) setting that provides "electronic gimbal" capabilities to stabilize footage captured during movement. Additionally, the standard Movie SR option can be utilized for a more authentic appearance with reduced distortion, actively cropping the frame to enhance shot stability.
Body Design
The camera's robust exterior has been engineered for straightforward use in challenging environments, even while wearing gloves. An assignable ADJ button provides immediate access to frequently utilized camera functions, while a top dial facilitates rapid transitions between shooting modes. The four-way controller features a more ergonomic, elevated design with buttons that are easier to press, and the rear 3.0" 1.04m-dot LCD is designed for brightness and includes AR coating to ensure clear visibility in diverse lighting situations. Furthermore, it is possible to stamp files with date and copyright information.
GPS System
The integrated GPS module has been improved for increased precision and is compatible with the latest satellite navigation augmentation system, SBAS. Additionally, it supports QZSS for rapid activation, taking about one minute from shutdown or merely three seconds from standby. A specialized GPS button is included in the four-way controller, allowing users to record location data in images through the GPS memory function.
