The RODECaster Video Core offers a diverse range of connectivity options, including HDMI and USB-C ports, supporting UVC video sources alongside both analog and digital audio sources. It allows for routing of up to 16 audio sources or nine stereo channels through both wired and wireless connections. You can easily incorporate the RODECaster Video Core into your existing RODE audio ecosystem using the USB-C audio ports or RODECaster Sync.

Effortlessly integrate your RODECaster Video Core with your existing RODECaster Pro II or Duo interface. This integration enables you to control both audio and video from one control surface, broaden your inputs and outputs, enable shared audio mixing and recording, and utilize advanced video switching capabilities. Each of these features can be easily adjusted to accommodate the requirements of your particular production.

Video Interface

• The RODECaster Video Core is equipped with nine mix-effect layers that can display simultaneously in both preview and program views. It includes two downstream keyers for toggling overlays and logos, two chroma-keyers for switching between different backgrounds, and two media players capable of playing MP4 videos, PNG/JPG images, or WAV audio files from the internal 24GB storage.
  
  
• The multiview feature enables visualization of both the program and preview, along with all live inputs, scene and media thumbnails, audio mixer and channel status, recording/network/storage status, as well as runtime, date, and time information. The non-destructive setup allows for live adjustments or configuration as a saved scene without disrupting the production flow.
  
  
• You can switch between four 1080p60 video sources—three HDMI and one USB-C—and create up to five intricate scenes that incorporate multiple layers of video, media, and graphics.
  
  
• Additionally, support for network cameras and PTZ operation is available through NDI support, accommodating up to four NDI inputs and one output via Ethernet.
  
  

Multifunction USB-C Port

To connect a USB webcam, capture card, or any other UVC video source, simply attach it directly to the RODECaster Video Core. Additionally, you have the option to incorporate a RODE USB microphone or link the console with the RODECaster Pro II or Duo, facilitating a seamless audio and video workflow.

Audio Sources

• Two studio-grade combo XLR-1/4" jacks on the console are equipped with low-noise, high-gain Revolution Preamps to ensure pristine audio capture from XLR microphones and instruments.
  
  
• Use digital USB-C ports to connect RODE USB microphones, the RODECaster Pro II, or Duo Audio Production Studios. Other USB-C ports support 2-in/2-out multichannel outputs, mix-minus, and MFi protocols.
  
  
• Aphex VoxLab audio processing equips the RODECaster Video Core with EQ, compressor, noise gate, high-pass filter, de-esser, Aural Exciter, Big Bottom, and panning effects per channel. Integrated preamps provide up to 76 dB input gain and -131.5 dBV equivalent input noise.

Capture content directly onto an external USB storage device, with the option for isolated (ISO) recording to enhance post-production flexibility. You have the capability to record your program feed as an H.264/AVC MP4 file that includes an embedded AAC stereo mix. Additionally, multiple audio tracks can be recorded as nine separate stereo WAV files. Export EDL files for DaVinci Resolve to facilitate smoother post-production processes. Your switch points, transitions, media, overlays, and timeline data are seamlessly imported into your edit, eliminating the need to reconstruct your live production.
