Sekonic L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter

The L-308X-U Flashmate Light Meter by Sekonic is designed to be exceptionally portable and versatile, integrating both photo and video functionalities into a single device. Featuring a sliding lumisphere, this light meter can measure both incident and reflected light through a lens with a 40° reception angle. It boasts an extensive metering range from 0 to 19.9 EV at ISO 100, accommodating exposure times from as brief as 1/8000 of a second to as long as 60 seconds. Additionally, it supports a wide flash range from f/1.0 to f/90.9 at ISO 100.

The L-308X is equipped with three distinct metering modes: a Photo mode designed for still photography that allows for aperture and shutter priority, a Cine mode that facilitates frame rate selection ranging from 8 to 128 fps with precision up to one-tenth of a stop, and an HD Cine mode tailored for video recording with DSLR or mirrorless cameras. Users can conveniently monitor all settings on the customizable backlit LCD display, which activates automatically in lighting conditions of 5 EV or lower. Additional features include a PC sync terminal and an option for cordless flash measurement. The L-308X-U has a weight of approximately 3.5 ounces and operates on a single AA battery, which is sold separately.
