The Sennheiser Profile Wireless Replacement Clip-On Transmitter/Recorder is equipped with an integrated microphone and recording functionality, allowing for effortless backup. It operates on 2.4 GHz digital technology to connect with the Profile dual-channel receiver (sold separately) at a maximum line-of-sight range of 800 feet. This transmitter is the same model that comes with the Profile two-person wireless system and is available for purchase as a backup or replacement in the event that the original unit is misplaced or damaged.
Built-In Microphone and External Mic Input
Attach the lightweight miniature microphone/transmitter to your talent using the integrated clip, or opt for the separately sold magnet mount for additional placement flexibility. A threaded socket located at the base of the clip enables the attachment of a stand for desktop applications. The integrated electret-condenser microphone capsule is designed with an omnidirectional polar pattern, allowing it to capture sound from a full 360° radius around the microphone. This feature offers various placement possibilities and helps maintain consistent audio levels, even if the talent turns away from the microphone.
For those seeking a more discreet appearance, you may connect a separately available lavalier microphone that features a locking 3.5mm Sennheiser connector to the external microphone input, which provides plug-in power.
Onboard Recording and Rechargeable Battery
The onboard recording capability is enhanced by the transmitter's integrated 16GB storage, allowing for up to 30 hours of audio recording at a resolution of 24-bit / 48 kHz. Users can initiate or halt recording either directly at the microphone or remotely through the receiver. Furthermore, the unit features a Backup Recording Mode that can be activated from the receiver, which automatically engages backup recording in the event of a weak wireless signal.
The built-in rechargeable battery has a runtime of up to 7 hours and can be recharged using a USB-C cable or the optional Profile charging bar. Additionally, a separately sold furry windscreen can be securely placed over the transmitter's microphone capsule, effectively minimizing wind noise while ensuring clear audio quality.
