The transmitter connects to the receiver using Bluetooth Low Energy, allowing for a pairing distance of up to 120 feet. This feature enables the microphone to be paired directly from the stage without the need to bring it close to the receiver. The transmitter operates for up to 8 hours on two AA batteries or for 12 hours when using the BA 70 lithium-ion rechargeable battery pack, which is sold separately. To charge the BA 70 batteries, the L70 USB dual-charging station is required and is also available separately.

The half-rack EW-D EM receiver, equipped with removable antennas, is constructed from a durable all-metal chassis designed to endure the demands of professional environments.
