Sigma's FF High Speed Prime Lenses integrate the superior optics and mechanics characteristic of their Global Vision still line into a design tailored for cinematic applications. The 24mm Sony E prime lens represents a wider focal length within this series, providing full-frame sensor compatibility, support for 6-8K resolution, and a T1.5 aperture, all within a compact and lightweight structure. Additionally, it is offered in Canon EF and PL mounts. The uniform 95mm front diameter and consistent physical specifications across the lens lineup facilitate the swift attachment of lens accessories, including matte boxes, follow focuses, and lens control motors.

The lens features a 9-bladed iris that creates aesthetically pleasing out-of-focus bokeh, while minimizing ghosting and flaring. Color reproduction is standardized to simplify the color correction process. Each lens in this collection maintains consistent gear positions and offers 180° of focus barrel rotation. The FF High-Speed Primes are equipped with a clickless iris featuring linear markings, dampeners on each gear ring for silent operation, an industry-standard 0.8 module gear pitch, and engraved markings for enhanced durability. Focus markings are indicated in feet, with select markings highlighted in luminous paint for improved visibility in low-light conditions.

To alleviate stress on the camera's lens mount, a support foot is integrated into the dust- and water-resistant metal lens body. For those wishing to adapt their FF High-Speed Prime lens to a different camera system, the Canon EF and Sony E mount versions can be converted by an authorized Sigma service center, although this option is not available for PL mounts.
