Sony HVL-F45RM Wireless Radio Flash

The HVL-F45RM Wireless Radio Flash from Sony is equipped with an integrated 2.4 GHz radio transceiver, enabling users to swiftly establish portable lighting configurations with comprehensive support for P-TTL / ADI metering. This flash can function as either a commander or a remote unit, fully compatible with Sony's existing radio commanders and receivers. It features ratio control, the capability to operate with up to 15 flashes across five groups, and access to 14 channels. Furthermore, it is compatible with Sony's optical wireless flash system, allowing it to serve as both a commander and a remote unit.

Enhancements over the previous model include a reduction in size and weight by more than 10%, while the guide number has been improved to 148' at ISO 100 and 105mm, and the recycle time has been decreased to 2.5 seconds. The flash provides full bounce capabilities, with a tilt range from -8 to 150° and a complete rotation of 360°. It features a zoom head that ranges from 24-105mm, which can be extended to 15mm using a pull-out diffusion panel, in addition to an LED light suitable for video applications. The rear LCD offers significantly enhanced controls, including customizable buttons and settings for flash distribution and memory. Moreover, the flash is designed with a dust- and moisture-resistant construction.

• Equipped with a 2.4 GHz radio transceiver, the HVL-F45RM is able to operate as either a radio commander or remote as part of Sony's radio wireless system, including the FA-WRC1M Wireless Radio Commander and FA-WRR1 Wireless Radio Receiver. This system has an operating range of 98' and does not require line-of-sight. Also, it will support up to 15 flashes in five groups on one of 14 channels.
