Fast Focusing and Intuitive Handling

The XD Linear Motor system incorporates four distinct motors—two assigned to each focusing group—combined with an internal focusing mechanism to deliver rapid, silent, and accurate autofocus and tracking capabilities. The Linear Response manual focus control enhances user experience by providing a more intuitive handling, while an AF/MF switch is conveniently positioned on the lens barrel for easy tactile adjustment. Additionally, a focus hold button is situated on the lens barrel, allowing for intuitive tactile control and quick access to preferred settings. The system offers a minimum focusing distance of 11 inches across the entire zoom range.
