Used Bolex 525XL | Super 8 | Black | U8

The Bolex 525 XL is a silent Super 8 film camera manufactured between 1975 and 1977. It is highly regarded by analog enthusiasts for its incredibly fast f/1.1 lens and broad 220-degree shutter, which allow filmmakers to shoot in very low-light conditions without specialized studio lighting. The camera offers excellent creative flexibility by featuring both manual and automatic control options for exposure and zooming, alongside a helpful backlight compensation system. It accommodates silent Super 8 cartridges and provides dual frame rates of 9 and 18 frames per second. Because it lacks sound recording electronics and a complex dual-battery array, it remains a streamlined, reliable, and straightforward choice for shooting celluloid today.
