Used Contax Distagon T* 35mm F/1.4 | Black | U9

The Contax Carl Zeiss Distagon T 35mm f/1.4* is a highly revered, wide-angle manual focus lens originally engineered for the vintage Contax/Yashica (C/Y) mount camera system. This bright prime lens features an advanced optical formula containing nine elements in eight groups, utilizing a floating elements system to maintain exceptional edge-to-edge sharpness even at its close 30-centimeter minimum focusing distance. Encased in a robust, heavily built all-metal housing, the lens tips the scales at approximately 601 grams and offers a silky-smooth, precise mechanical focus ring. Modern cinematographers and street photographers heavily favor the lens for its distinct vintage character, T anti-reflective coating*, and the dramatic "ninja star" bokeh artifacts produced by older AE variants when slightly stopped down.
