The Leica SL2-S is a professional full-frame mirrorless camera designed with an unusually strong emphasis on both still photography and video production. Its 24MP BSI-CMOS sensor prioritizes speed and high-ISO performance while still providing enough resolution for professional commercial and editorial photography. The camera combines 5-axis sensor stabilization, a 5.76-million-dot EVF, dual UHS-II card slots, and a rugged IP54-rated metal body for demanding production environments. For video, it records 10-bit 4:2:2 4K/C4K at up to 60p, supports Leica L-Log, and can record Full HD slow motion at up to 180 fps. Its L-Mount also gives it access to Leica SL/TL lenses plus a wide range of Leica M, R and S lenses through adapters. With its combination of high-ISO capability, stabilization, robust construction, and extensive video controls, the SL2-S is built as a true hybrid camera rather than a stills camera with video added as an afterthought.
