The Nikon AF Nikkor 35mm f/2D is a compact wide-angle prime that works well for everyday photography, street shooting, travel, and environmental portraits. Its bright f/2 aperture makes it useful in available light and gives you some control over background separation. The 35mm focal length provides a natural perspective on full-frame cameras, while delivering a roughly 52.5mm-equivalent view on Nikon DX bodies. Its screw-drive autofocus works with compatible Nikon cameras, and the lens also offers a manual-focus option. A minimum focusing distance of just 25cm gives you flexibility for closer details and tighter compositions. Lightweight and easy to carry, this lens is a practical choice for photographers who want a classic Nikon F-mount prime without a bulky setup.
