The Braun Nizo S8T is a sophisticated early Super 8 camera known for its excellent Schneider-Kreuznach Variogon 7–56mm f/1.8 8× zoom lens. Its combination of a fast aperture and unusually broad zoom range makes it considerably more versatile than many contemporary Super 8 cameras. The camera provides both automatic and manual exposure through its built-in CdS meter and uses a reflex viewfinder with an adjustable eyepiece for accurate framing and focusing. It shoots at 18 or 24 frames per second and also supports single-frame operation for animation and time-lapse-style work. A built-in 85A/CCA filter allows tungsten film to be used in daylight, while the motorized film transport runs from four AA batteries.
