Used Olympus G Zuiko 50mm F/1.4 | Black | U8

The Olympus G.Zuiko Auto-S 50mm f/1.4 is a classic fast standard lens from the compact Olympus OM system. Its 50mm focal length provides a natural perspective on 35mm film, while the bright f/1.4 aperture makes it particularly useful for low-light photography and shallow-depth-of-field portraits. The seven-element, six-group optical design is remarkably compact, helping maintain the small size that made the OM system famous. Early G.Zuiko versions can produce a softer, more characterful look wide open, while stopping down brings noticeably higher sharpness and contrast. Because several versions were produced over the lens's lifetime, the serial number and markings can help determine exactly which optical/coating version you have. It remains a very popular vintage lens for both Olympus film cameras and adapted mirrorless systems.
