Used Sony 50mm F/1.8 OSS E-Mount | Black | U8

The Sony E 50mm f/1.8 OSS is a highly popular, budget-friendly portrait prime lens designed specifically for Sony’s APS-C crop-sensor mirrorless cameras. Delivering a versatile 75mm equivalent field of view, it serves as a massive optical upgrade over a standard kit zoom lens for isolating subjects. The integration of lens-based Optical SteadyShot (OSS) stabilization makes it incredibly valuable for smooth handheld filming, especially on camera bodies that lack built-in sensor stabilization. While the lens optics render a beautiful and creamy bokeh effect wide open, it reaches maximum edge-to-edge sharpness when stopped down slightly between f/4 and f/5.6. Ultimately, this compact and lightweight lens remains an essential, highly recommended tool for beginner filmmakers and portrait photographers alike.
