Used Super-8 Minolta XL401 | Black | U9+
The Minolta XL-401 is a compact Super 8 movie camera introduced in the late 1970s and designed for low-light cinematography. It features a high-speed Minolta Zoom Rokkor Macro 8.5–34mm f/1.2 lens, making it one of the faster lenses found on consumer Super 8 cameras. The camera utilizes Minolta's XL (Existing Light) system with a large 220° shutter angle, allowing more light to reach the film during exposure. A through-the-lens CdS metering system provides both automatic and manual exposure control, while a split-image rangefinder assists with accurate manual focusing. Additional features include built-in macro capability, single-frame shooting, interval recording, and a retractable hand grip for portable operation. Lightweight and easy to use, the XL-401 remains popular among Super 8 enthusiasts for its excellent lens quality and strong low-light performance.
