The Zoom B1 Four is a versatile multi-effects processor tailored for electric bass instruments. Presented in a user-friendly stompbox design, the B1 Four includes a diverse array of effects, amplifier simulations, and additional functionalities, including a 30-second looper and a chromatic tuner. With 68 integrated rhythm patterns, it allows for the incorporation of drum loops, enhancing the looping experience.
The pedal offers distortion, chorus, and additional effects, along with nine bass amplifier models that replicate classic combinations. Users can chain five effects in any sequence at any time and save them in one of the 50 user preset patches. Patches can be switched rapidly with a simple tap, allowing for seamless transitions in live or studio settings. Furthermore, global settings can be adjusted to maintain consistency across patches. The three-knob tone stack and overall output level remain unchanged while navigating through different sounds.
The pedal features 60 distinct effects, and users can also modify or incorporate additional effects via their computer. By connecting the pedal to a Mac or Windows device using a USB cable, one can enhance the effects through Zoom's Guitar Lab software.
The B1 Four features a 1/4" instrument input, a 3.5mm input for mobile devices and media players, and a combined amplifier/headphone output. It operates on four AA batteries, providing up to 18 hours of usage. Additionally, the unit can be powered using a dedicated ZOOM AD-16 AC adapter or via USB.
