The Zoom LiveTrak L6max combines the capabilities of a full-sized mixer and multitrack recorder into a portable, battery-operated format. Whether you are a solo artist, an acoustic duo, or a complete band, the L6max is prepared to serve as the focal point of your live performance, rehearsal, or podcast. Featuring 4 combo inputs (2 of which support Hi-Z), 8 line inputs, and a total of 12 channels, it offers the versatility required for any recording session.

Monitoring, Mixing, and High-Output Control

Maintain command onstage or within the studio environment with dual headphone outputs and a customizable Sub-Out mix. Channels 5 through 8 are equipped with a -20 dB Pad switch, facilitating the management of high-volume signals from vintage synthesizers or Eurorack modules without the need for external attenuators. A high-contrast OLED display ensures that navigation remains straightforward and clear as you construct your mix.

Multitrack Recording Without Limits

Capture as many as 14 tracks—12 separate channels along with a stereo mix—directly onto SD cards with a capacity of up to 2TB. You can save and retrieve projects at any time, or utilize unlimited overdubbing by transferring tracks to the specific bounce channel. Should a bounce not meet your expectations, you can easily undo it and make another attempt. Each take is stored as a distinct file for later mixing.

Intelligent Audio Technology

The L6max merges smart processing with high-quality recording. AI Noise Reduction effectively eliminates hum, hiss, and background noise while preserving the clarity of voices and instruments. For high-volume performances, it captures distortion-free 32-bit float audio, utilizing dual-AD converters on channels 1-4 to record everything from delicate vocals to powerful drum strikes without any distortion.

Creative Sound Shaping

Adjust your tone using a 3-band EQ on each channel and enhance the sound with built-in Reverb, Delay, and Echo, all featuring TAP tempo. The compressor on the master track provides added punch and saturation to your mix. Furthermore, with 32-bit float technology, your audio remains clear and unclipped, even at elevated levels.

More Than a Mixer

The L6max serves a dual purpose as a 12-in / 4-out USB audio interface compatible with computer, iOS, or Android devices, and it is capable of recording simultaneously to an SD card. Additionally, it operates as a DAW control surface, effectively connecting live performance with production workflows.

Pro-Level Tools Built In

Utilizing two Aux Sends (pre-/post-fader), it is possible to establish monitor mixes or FX loops. You can save and recall as many as four mixes using Scene Memory. Samples, jingles, or sound effects can be triggered with Sound Pads, which are also capable of syncing to MIDI clock for electronic performances. Furthermore, with MIDI I/O and USB MIDI, you have the ability to connect synthesizers, grooveboxes, or integrate with MIDI applications.

Flexible Customization and Power

The complimentary L6 Editor app (available for Mac and Windows) allows users to set up pads, effects, and MIDI configurations. In terms of power, the L6max operates on AA batteries, USB bus power, or a portable battery pack, making it equally suitable for studio use or on-the-go. Additionally, with the optional ERL-6 rack ears and power supply, it can be effortlessly integrated into a standard Eurorack case for modular configurations.
