Experience the genuine sounds of 23 classic and contemporary amplifier and cabinet models with the MS-80IR+ from Zoom, an impulse response modeling pedal that utilizes advanced Multi-Layer IR technology. Equipped with 17 diverse effects, up to 80 customizable patches, and versatile stereo inputs and outputs, the MS-80IR+ is designed to enhance any pedalboard configuration.
The MS-80IR+ includes USB-C connectivity, enabling its use as an audio interface, facilitating remote triggering via MIDI, and allowing integration with the Guitar Lab app for personalized settings and the ability to load custom IRs. It offers a wide array of effects to refine your sound, such as reverbs, delays, gates, EQs, and more. Adjusting and fine-tuning models and effects is straightforward with the four encoder knobs and cross-key switches, which enable seamless switching between amplifiers, effects, and patches using your feet. Additionally, a built-in chromatic tuner is available, featuring visual feedback through changing backlight colors and accommodating all standard guitar tunings, including alternate and drop tunings.
Carefully Designed
Through a detailed examination of specific circuitry segments, the engineers at Zoom have carefully replicated the most iconic amplifiers in history, achieving an unprecedented level of tonal fidelity for each amplifier on the MS-80IR+. This device is equipped with 16 of the most esteemed amplifiers and cabinets globally, in addition to 7 expertly designed original models from Zoom.
The Power of Multi-Layer IR
To create an IR, you first need to record a test signal through the desired cabinet. Most IR’s are recorded at a single volume and then loaded into an effects processor for application.
Zoom's innovative Multi-Layer IR technology combines three IR's recorded at different volumes. This more faithfully recreates the tonal characteristics and feel of playing through real classic amps and cabinets.
Beautiful Studio Sounds
Select from a range of five studio reverb effects to enhance your sound with a sense of natural space. Options include Concert Hall, Large Chapel, Live Music Club, among others. Additionally, the MS-80IR+ features 12 fundamental effects, such as noise gates, equalizers, and delays.
Flexible Stereo or Dual-Mono I/O
The MS-80IR+ features stereo inputs and outputs, enabling the enhancement of your signal with captivating stereo effects or the processing of stereo signals within your signal chain. However, for those who prefer a mono setup, the dual outputs serve a practical purpose as a mono splitter.
You can divide your signal into two mono outputs, directing one to your amplifier and the other to a PA system, both fully processed with amplifier and cabinet impulse responses. Alternatively, the left output can function as a headphone output, allowing for silent practice while still experiencing the complete richness of your amplifier and cabinet models.
USB-C Audio Interface and Guitar Lab App
Capture audio directly on your computer or smartphone using the convenient USB-C connection integrated into the MS-80IR+. This USB connection also enables the reception of MIDI signals, facilitating remote triggering of patch changes.
Additionally, the Guitar Lab app (available exclusively for iOS) allows you to explore various effects, back up patches, and load up to 80 customizable impulse responses (IRs). You can also import IRs from your personal collection to achieve a unique sound tailored to your preferences.
