The microphone's wide, flat frequency response yields natural, accurate signal reproduction with crisp detail and minimal coloration. The ECM-VG1 runs on 40 to 52 VDC phantom power, making it compatible with a variety of professional camcorders, multitrack field recorders, and portable audio recorders. The supplied furry windshield delivers up to 20 dB of wind noise reduction for high-quality audio capture in outdoor environments. It also includes microphone spacers and a mic holder to accommodate camera-mount and stand-/boompole-mount configurations.
